Road to Meijin

With a title like that, I sure set the bar high, didn't I? Do I really believe that I can become a Meijin ? No. Do I want to play like one? Fuck yeah. Now I have been playing shogi for a grand 2 and a half a months and am set on becoming a strong player. In order to document my progress, I have decided to launch this blog, where I will write about new strategies I am studying, books I'm reading and people I'm trying to beat. Naturally, my current shogi knowledge is very scarce - I know a few Joseki and some trick moves, but I always lose my lead whenever I manage to gain it and start making stupid moves whenever my opponent gains the lead. That's why I will first focus on improving one attack at a time, so that I am ready for every move that can be made against it and am not taken aback by unexpected attacks or strong defenses. I don't expect people to actually read or follow this blog, so I guess this will be more like a shogi diary of sorts.
